She seems to be the talk of the town at the moment; the lady everyone wants to be. In February she was fortunate enough to have the iconic brand Mulberry name a bag after her in their Autumn/Winter 12 collection. The bag was supposed to reflect the songstresses style, simple and elegant. This idea of naming someone so new to game however was met with conflict as people pondered on whether she was indeed deserving of such acclaim. Alexa Chung was a huge devotee to the british fashion industry for years before gaining this privilege. The 'Del Rey' however has proved to be a huge success, with various celebrities sporting the look before the general public could get their hands on the creation in May. Although I love Lana to me Mulberry as a brand is heritage and British whereas Lana is American Hollywood glamour, anyway I digress. Then in March she was on the cover of Vogue, shot by Mario Testino and has also been signed up with Next Models. She simply is a force to be reckoned with, this girl has some serious fashion power.

Now as the queen of the fashion pack she has landed on her feet being named the face of Swedish Brand H&M's Autumn Winter campaign. "The mood is very L.A. noir," Donald Schneider, H&M's creative director explained. The whole look is very sixties with the beehive hair and the angora sweater. The two pictures below I feel reflect her style perfectly and if this is  a close representation of the fall collection I will certainly be picking up a few pieces. The campaign was shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and I think they have done a brilliant job, the pictures are feminine and sultry with a retro edge. H&M has also announced a minifilm that will be released on September 19th showing the singer performing a cover of 'blue velvet' - this is something I am very much looking forward to!

What do you think about the latest Lana Del Rey collaboration? It is evident Lana has been welcomed into the fashion industry with open arms. Are you all for the American songbird or do you think it has all happened too quickly?
