Okay, here goes. A new feature for Thursdays - the 'not fashion' post. It is evident from the name of this blog that I am a fashion girl and not much else. Fashion, clothes and styling is what I know and anything other than that is outside my comfort zone and something of a challenge. There is however a side of me that loves a bit (or lot) of makeup, hair, fragrance etc. I am never going to claim to know anything about this subject nor do I feel confident in preaching about items claiming you should go and buy certain products. However I will now be giving my opinion - and only an opinoin on some goodies I pick up along my travels. I spend so much money on hair treatments, face masks, make up and other various beauty 'essentials' I feel it's time I shared my finds. Having spent an awful lot of money on a new shampoo, conditioner and deep treatment masque my mum suggested I started talking beauty on my blog - I was hesitant so we will see how it goes.

I will start with said Shampoo, conditioner and treatment masque. From a brand fairly new to me 'Bumble and bumble' I thought I would see what they had to offer. The only time I will ever splash out on these sort of products would be for Christmas or birthdays (this is my excuse and I shall stick to it). At an eye watering £77 for the lot I can hear my bank balance weeping from here. Luckily as I picked these up from boots my mum had a few boots reward points hanging about I was able to use.

Now as you can imagine I was expecting big things, and big things were given. Sometimes when you put so much pressure or have such high expectations it is hard for that product to live up to it. I can safely say I am extremely impressed with this little set. Obviously you don't have to buy all three but my hair is in such bad condition at the moment I thought if I was going to do it I should do it properly. The masque is to be used once a week (or more if required) so I think I will leave it as a Sunday treat and the Shampoo and Conditioner can be used as often as you like.

The three I chose are specifically for 'truly damaged' hair and sit in the 'mending' range. Bumble and bumble have a huge range of products for all different hair types. The shampoo you use as normal simply lather on and wash off and then follow up with the conditioner which you massage in and leave in for 1-2 minutes. The masque you are supposed to leave in for 10 minutes to give maximum mendage - here I go making up beauty words. Such a novice. This is the awkward part where I try and explain what they smell like, just like in the beauty pro's youtube videos where they are able to stick their nose into the product and reel off the ingredients and scents. Well I am unable to do this so I shall simply tell you it smells.... fruity. Lovely and fresh and fruity.

But seriously so far I am very impressed this combo left my hair feeling super duper silky soft! Is it worth the price?... I'm not sure we will have to see what long term miracles these provide.
