As wonderful as it is to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe for the season ahead let's face it, sometimes this isn't feasible. On Sunday I had zero plans (apart from an evening trip to see Bridget Jones - SO GOOD!!!) so I emptied my entire wardrobe onto my bed/floor (sorry boyfriend). I always LOVE doing this as you find so many bits and peices you totally forgot you had - which is bad in a way because that shows I have too much stuff! I thought before I hit the shops on the next pay day I would assess what was in my wardrobe already... It's often the case, the same things come in and out of fashion each year. Working in the fashion industry means I also understand how the minds of places like Zara and Topshop work. This jumper, for example I can guarantee Zara will bring back out in a new colour or maybe with a different texture or effect on the wool...

So on Sunday I spent the morning creating 'new' old outfits ready for the next few months - it's definitely getting a bit colder but you never know with the British weather it could be 30 degrees again next week and all my lovely jumpers will be back in boxes under the bed!

Onto the outfit, apologies it's obviously all old but I'm sure there are plenty of similar styles ready to hit the rails this year. The jumper and skirt are both from Zara - if you follow me on instagram you'll know I have soft spot for the place. Okay, that was an understatement... I am simply obsessed - they just seem to get it right. The shapes suit my figure, they seem to have the more 'fashion' pieces in before everyone else on the high street and it's super cheap! Although not great for the environment this whole fast fashion thing, I don't have the funds to be spending hundreds of pounds on a jumper made in the UK (although I would much rather do this!!!) But we all love a bit of Zara every now and then right? And the boots again are from last year and they're from Topshop - although they are still online HERE!

I'm so happy to be back blogging on my little space, don't forget to follow me on instagram and twitter for daily updates! Also if there are any posts you would like to see then please shout!

  1. I love this outfit and it doesn't look old at all! I've recently moved into my own flat and I'm broke most of the time so will be doing the same this autumn! xx
