I've come to the realisation the blog is due a bit of an over-haul. Granted it hasn't seen any love since, *I can't quite believe it - the 1st of June but maybe that's what it needs for me to get back into the swing of blog life. I love this little website and the old, embarrassing content that comes with it. The good and the bad posts it's all part of the story and I think it's time I got back into it. This is obviously easier to say as there is always a reason it gets put to the side, the main reason being my full time job which is obviously priority but means this gets forgotten about (sad face). So here I am sat at 5.25am on a Monday morning typing up this post... which has turned into a bit of a story. Maybe that's the only way it'll work, early morning typing - but let's give it a go!

It seems quite appropriate actually, starting on a Monday morning... 19th September (lucky number) AND I just had a big old mop chop at the Lovely George Northwood hair salon (Londonders I highly recommend this place - not only are they amazing at cutting hair - the salon is interior goals, heart eyed emojis!). So I'm also coming at you with a fresh hair do!

It definitely feels Autumn/Winter is on the way as my wish list for coats slowing and dangerously grows. I had a little wander around Oxford Street on Friday evening and it happened, the first coat purchase of the season. I say coat, it's this trench below - let me convince myself it's okay to purchase the (cough, third) trench in my coat-drobe (is that even a thing?! Because I certainly have one!). Trench coats, the most versatile of outerwear kinds - worn all through the season, perfect for rain which we seem to get a hell of a lot of in the UK, perfect for layering with thick jumpers when it gets into proper Winter territory and a total investment in terms of trend pieces as lets face it the trench has been a thing for many, many seasons! Did it work, can I now feel less guilty about this purchase?

Last year I had the topshop trench everyone seemed to have, I think this is a nice update as it's so much longer and cooler, the fabric is a bit more heavy weight and it looks a bit more substantial - the topshop one was very thin and a bit more 'chuck on' than smart everyday like this one.

Before I go, if you don't follow me on instagram... please do! I've been doing a mini challenge since the start of the year to post my outfit every. single. day - yes you heard right. And so far so good, I'm on day 261 and haven't missed a single one. Okay some days the pictures are in the dark (sometimes I forget), or maybe I haven't brushed my hair or my face hasn't seen an inch of makeup, but I've done it! So come and follow my little challenge -> HERE!

Sorry this post has turned into a complete essay - I wonder if anyone made it to the end! I promise Wednesday will be short & sweet! Let's start the week right, Monday - let's be having you!
