I have a confession... I spent 3 years studying Fashion at University, and since graduating I have worked in the fashion industry (over 3 years) yet I have never been to London Fashion Week. I follow the goings on religiously however the whole 'Fashion Week' scene kinda scares me. All those glamorous gals strutting around with their coats elegantly draped over their shoulders. Fashions inner circles of bloggers, celebs, musicians and actresses makes the idea almost unattainable. Don't get me wrong, if given the chance I would jump at the opportunity but this year I enjoyed nothing more than catching up on all the shows from the comfort of my bed with a big old mug of tea. Below is a round up of my favourite designers and looks - definitely not an easy task choosing 5 designers across the 5 days as this year 99% of shows were blooming fabulous.

It's always slightly weird watching SS16 when we're only just going into AW15 - suddenly getting into the autumn winter vibe, thick knits and coats when all of a sudden you're bombarded with beautiful florals and lace, pastel colours and lightweight jackets.

1. Burberry

What can I say... Christopher Bailey, quite possibly the most talented man in the fashion industry right now. A beautiful collection as always, with a mixture of prints, pastels, blacks, lace and texture. Interestingly more black and military styling that you would expect of a Spring Summer 16 collection... however known for his love for British Heritage this comes as no surprise. Bailey clearly moving with climate change and noticing our Spring Summer season is a lot smaller than Autumn Winter so dropping in aspects of coats and capes. The show also included the ever so talented Alison Moyet with a 32 peice orchestra and a FROW full to the brim of celebs such as regulars Kate Moss, Sukie Waterhouse and Sienna Miller.

2. J. JS Lee

First launched in 2010 this is a brand that just keeps getting better. With a variety of shapes, lengths, fabrics, prints and colours this is a designer who will undoubtedly have something for everyone. I have my eye on that mouth watering pastel pink maxi dress, those feminine pleats are just beautiful. An obvious theme of mini birds printed across various pieces fitted perfectly with the flowing silhouettes.

3. Markus Lupfer

As always we were shown a young and fun collection from Markus Lupfer. Most well known for his imaginative embroidery and embellishment on sweatshirts however proving he has so much more to show than just that. Cami tops, bomber jackets shapes, shift dresses with pyjama trousers are just a few of the shapes Markus Lupfer has jazzed up this season. Using mainly monochrome Lupfer scattered in powder pinks along with embellishment giving a nod to the Spring Summer season to come.

4. Orla Kiely

A family favourite with a house full of Orla Kiely homeware (mugs, sugar bowl, bedding, cushions, pots, bags etc) this is always a brand I gravitate towards. If there was a show or presentation I would simply LOVE to see this would be it. The presentation is always so beautifully thought out and creative, really making you want to buy into the Orla Kiely brand. I think it's the vibrant colours and beautiful 60's prints in this collection that just make me smile. It's so fresh and exciting yet a bit fun with the feminine shapes.

5. Topshop Unique

Last and by no means least is my favourite show, Topshop Unique channelling that 1970's bohemian look. On Sunday afternoon I set up camp on my sofa ready to see the collection. That blue blouse is top of my wish list although not sure I can get away with the whole 'undone buttons' thing. I am absolutely loving the ditsy floral prints and the casual almost pyjama look going on in the third image. I can't go without mentioning the shoes, I need the shoes!! an array of fur, pretty florals and polka dots, what more could a girl want?!
