I sit here feeling slightly let down by myself... as someone who claims to like all things beauty I have failed. I have never ever purchased anything from Lush, until now.

I've always had this perception of an overly powerful smelling store, slightly sickly that drifts out onto the street as you walk by - this has always put me off going in. I was wandering down Regent Street a few weekends back and thought it was time I had a nosey. I am always seeing blog posts and Youtube videos by people whose opinions I really trust and am completely enabled by. I'm not sure why I've held off buying products from Lush as they're all handmade and completely natural which for me is great as I have really sensitive skin.

I picked up three different bath melts and bombs to get me started but already have my eye on a few more bits.

So far I've only tried The Christmas Penguin but I am completely obsessed with it! The scent is a mixture of orange flower, mandarin and lemon and it is super bubbly. I've used it twice and think there's definitely 1 or 2 more uses left in it. It's quite sad seeing the poor guy deteriorate over time (he's sitting on a shelf in my bathroom with just a nose and two eyes, looking a little worn out). I also got the Butterbear Bath Bomb which is a cocoa butter scent great for providing nourishment to the skin. This one is just what I need, having used E45 bath products for the past few years I think this is a slightly more fun alternative to keeping my skin hydrated. Finally I got The Melting Snowman which I was drawn to obviously by the appearance, although it does look like an unhappy snowman! This one is Christmas spice scented so lovely for this time of year, I really love the warm cinnamon spicy scents that are everywhere at the moment, making me feel very festive.

It's safe to say I am a total Lush convert. I can't find enough good things to say, the products are great value for money, are really reasonably priced, you're looking after your skin using handmade good quality ingredients and the product offering is fun, colourful and there's a huge selection to chose from.

Next on my list is the Father Christmas bath bomb!!
