So September is finally upon us, although it sort of feels like we haven't really had a summer this year. Truth be told Autumn is my favourite season of the lot - the crispy leaves, cold fresh mornings, and the fact you can wrap up in wooly scarfs and thick knits. There is something alot more cosy about Autumn and Winter, the thought of sitting in with a cup of hot chocolate watching a good old chick flick with your fairy lights adding sparkle to your room. Anyway going off the subject - above I have created a little September wish list of items I think are key for everyones wardrobe this Autumn.

Although Autumn is supposedly not as wet as the rest of the seasons you simply cannot trust British weather so I think everyone should invest in a good quality pair of Hunter Wellies - I saw these on the Topshop website for £80 which is an investment but I have had mine for 2 years now and they are still in perfect condition.

A massive trend for this season is the biker boot - this is quite masculine for me so I would team these ASOS boots with a floral or feminine shaped dress and bare legs - I'm hoping I can still get away with this for a few more weeks as it isn't too cold just yet.

For the winter months I always like to purchase a good quality jumper which can be thrown over any outfit, worn under a leather jacket with the Biker boots I think this grey Zara jumper is super cute.

The Topshop shorts just scream autumn to me - the colours are warm and intense, i'd probably wear these with a simple black top or maybe a bit thick jumper.

The nail varnish again is the perfect Autumn shade, a rich burgundy colour replacing my favourite Barry M bright red.

A simple must have for the winter months is a big wooly hat - perfect for covering up any bad hair days!

And finally, this candle which is from Anthropologie - I had the 'Angel Food' candle for Christmas last year, unfortunately it has run out now so I think I will be purchasing this Vanilla and Fig candle. Perfect for a Sunday evening early night when you lie in bed with your fresh sheets watching a DVD in bed. Below I have uploaded a picture of my fairy lights, these are from IKEA and I think everyone needs to purchase some for the winter months - they literally make my room look so cosy!

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!
