I've been meaning to do a post dedicated to this beautiful show stopper of a skirt for a long while and it's finally here!!
It's been sitting pretty in my wardrobe for a good few months and I have given it some serious wear. Dressed up or dressed down this skirt turns heads. It's from Whistles and is an amazing heavy metallic fabric, it drapes really nicely and is super comfortable. I like to wear it more dressed down with a thick jumper or just a baggy stripe tee but for warmer days this Whistles black linen t-shirt is perfect.
It's quite pricey at £125 but can be worn so many ways, I have even been known to team this with my converse.... I can see myself wearing this all through Winter into Christmas with some thick black tights and Chelsea boots, the possibilities are endless!
And the rest of the outfit... the shoes are from & other stories (in the sale, total bargain at £20!!) and the bag again, is from Whistles. Can you tell I have a serious Whistles spending problem at the moment? My new mantra, less is more; therefore i'm trying to buy more classic pieces I can wear lots of different ways for different occasions. This skirt is a real statement!
Too much metallic for a Monday morning? Let me know your thoughts... Metallic is big this season but how wearable is this trend? I do get a few funny looks on the tube at 7am with all the smartly dressed city workers ;)
