I'm not the kind of person to talk about what I've been buying or how much money i've spent but I personally LOVE watching 'hauls' (I hate that word) on youtube. I love seeing what people are buying and the reasons they have chosen the particular item. Maybe it's because I am super nosey but I'm just really interested in why people buy certain things.

Anyway after a mini shopping spree on Portobello Road I thought I would divulge the items I bought - all of which were from American Apparel. I love everything about American Apparel except the prices, it is waaaay too expensive and most of the items aren't worth the price tag but every now and then I just seem to give in.

I convince myself i've done well by looking at said purchases as an investment. All of the items are simple, plain and classic - they won't be going 'out of fashion' anytime soon and they can be thrown on with anything. I figure it's okay to spend a bit of money on items you can wear for years and years unlike some of the things I buy in Topshop which can only be worn for one season.

I finally bite the bullet and got the 'easy jean' I got the disco pants about 2 years ago (maybe more) but they are so battered now and I don't think I will be replacing them. I thought I would go for these instead, they are such a great shape and well and truly pull you in. They are very flattering and could be worn for a more dressy occasion with a crop top or some sort of embellished jacket. They are very very skinny so I prefer to wear them with a baggy tee or jumper but for you skinnier gals you can really make the most of your figures.

I thought this scrunchy was really cute, takes me back to my younger years circa 1995. I'm pretty lazy with my hair and it spends a lot of time either in a messy bun or just in a really high pony on the top of my head, I thought this would make the messy hair look a little more interesting.

I'm not sure why these joggers caught my eye. With the whole 'sports' trend in this season I thought these would be really cool with my high top converse or my Topshop wedge boots - very casual and comfy.

This caught my eye as I thought it would look really nice under a white tee or something slightly see through, just to jazz an outfit up a little.

I know this is a rubbish picture but they were really hard to photograph. These are two really really baggy tees. They are a lovely silky soft fabric which hang really nicely. I got it in both colours as I figured they could be worn over anything for a simple look.

I have been after one of American Apparel's purse's for a while now, they come in a miltitude of colours and sizes. I went for the mini purse size which is perfect for me. I tend to fill my purse up with a load of unnecessary things, this purse stops me doing this as it only holds whats I really need i.e a few cards, cash and notes.

  1. I love the baggy tees, I may have to get myself a couple of those as you can never have enough tees.

  7. Im tempted by the easy jeans, as ive heard the new topshop joni jeans don't last as the seams are rubbish, but i would be prepared to pay the extra pennies for those jeans! i bet they will look great on, love your style! :)
